Sindh Tourism Development Karachi Jobs 2023

Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) Karachi Jobs, a Public Sector Company, functioning under the administrative control of the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives Department, Government of Sindh, is looking for a full-time Managing Director (MD) to lead the organization during the exciting time of growth of tourism industry in Sindh and Pakistan. The individual should be experienced in managing a fast-paced organization, have strong leadership and coordination skills, and exposure to destination marketing. He/she should be passionate regarding the province’s tourism potential and related tourism opportunities.

Position Announced:

1. Managing Director (MD)

1. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Pakistani citizen with maximum age of 68 years as on closing date for submission of applications.

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A postgraduate or higher degree in management/public administration/ hospitality / economics or any related field from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum of 20 years’ professional experience preferably in the public sector.

3. KEY SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of the tourism destinations and potential in the Sindh province and of national/international.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects,

Strong communication skills across all levels, Must be proficient in computer and has the ability to work in a tech savvy environment, In-depth knowledge of project management, and financial management in public sector.

4. PAY PACKAGE & CONTRACT

Appropriate market-based remuneration package commensurate with experience, and as approved by the board of STDC, will be offered.

The appointment will be made purely on merit and on contract basis for a maximum period of three years.
